Anyone interested in being a Participant at the upcoming OMB hearing regarding the proposed development of the property commonly known as the Saw-whet Golf Course should read the information below carefully.

I have received a number of inquiries from residents asking how to register as a participant for the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) Hearing related to the proposed development of the property commonly known as the Saw-Whet Golf Course. As a participant you would be able to express your thoughts about the plan to build 785 single family dwellings and 2 multi-story buildings on the Saw-Whet site at the October OMB hearing.

In order to become a participant you must send an email to the board and parties including your name and contact information and outlining your issues about the development application by August 27 at 4:30 pm.

Below I have prepared an outline that may be helpful for registering as a participant along with the email addresses of those who must be included in your registration request. Feel free to cc me as well.

(Note: it is my understanding anyone may become a participant whether you indicated a desire to do so at the May 1 prehearing or not - as long as you submit the required information by Aug. 27.) If you miss that deadline you will not be allowed to make a presentation at the hearing.

If you submit the required information by Aug. 27 you will receive information about when and where to make your presentation.

Please note that it is important to number your pages for reference purposes.

If required, more details can be found on the Town's website at http://oakville.ca/business/da-8844.html
