T.A. Blakelock High School (1160 Rebecca St, Oakville) is marking its 60th anniversary this year with a celebratory event on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Attendees are invited to visit and tour the school between 2-5 p.m. as part of an open house, where they will meet many past and current teachers, staff and students. Alumni students will return to entertain and perform during the open house. Rooms depicting the school’s various decades of operation will be set up for visiting. They will include photos and memorabilia.

A golf tournament takes place at Indian Wells (5377 Walkers Line, Burlington), with a shotgun start at 12:30 pm. The fee is $100 and includes a game of golf, a cart, lunch and a school-based donation.

To end the day’s festivities, a pub night will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight at OE Banquet & Conference Centre (2245 Speers Rd., Oakville). The cost will be $40, which includes taxes and light snacks; there will also be a cash bar.
