Three Male Youth from Oakville charged for Robberies of Oakville Youth

On October 6th 2017, shortly before 7:00pm, three male youth approached another youth at the Glen Abbey Community Centre located at 1415 Third Line in the Town of Oakville. The suspects threatened the male victim, demanding his wireless earphones. One of the suspects produced a knife while the another displayed brass knuckles. The victim complied with their demands before all parties departed the Centre.

On October 20th 2017, at approximately 7:50pm, the same three male youth suspects attended the Oakville Soccer Club located at 1520 Glen Road in the Town of Oakville. The three male youth suspects approached three youth near the entrance to the Soccer Club. All of the suspects produced a knife while one also display brass knuckles in his other hand. The suspects robbed the youths of an IPhone, Bluetooth speaker, and a sum of cash before leaving the area.

It was later reported that one of the three suspects also had robbed another youth of an Airsoft pellet gun approximately an hour earlier that same evening.

No injuries were sustained as result of any of the aforementioned robberies.

On October 27th 2017, investigators from the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested a male youth for his participation in all three robberies. Later that morning investigators executed a Criminal Code search warrant at an address near Sheridan Garden Drive and Ford Drive in the Town of Oakville. Additional evidence connecting the suspect to the robberies was seized.

A male youth (14) from Oakville was charged with:

  1. Robbery (5 Counts)
  2. Utter Threats
  3. Possession of Weapons for Dangerous Purposes (3 Counts)
  4. Breach of YCJA (Youth Criminal Justice Act) Probation Order (5 Counts)
  5. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On October 28th 2017, the two outstanding male youths responsible for the robberies at the Glen Abbey Community Center and the Oakville Soccer Club were located and arrested without incident.

A male youth (14) from Oakville was charged with:

  1. Robbery with Violence (4 Counts)
  2. Fail to Comply with Recognizance (3 Counts)
  3. Possession of Weapons for Dangerous Purposes (3 Counts)

A male youth (15) from Oakville was charged with:

  1. Robbery with Violence (4 Counts)
  2. Fail to Comply with Recognizance (3 Counts)
  3. Possession of Weapons for Dangerous Purposes (3 Counts)
  4. Possession of Prohibited Weapon

All three youths were held for Bail.
