The Town of Oakville is now accepting applications for assistant deputy returning officers and greeters to work this year’s municipal election on October 27, 2014.
“It takes hundreds of interested individuals to ensure a well-run election and we appreciate the support of community members who submit their applications to work with us on voting day,” said Kim Galione, election manager for the town.
Deadline for applications is July 31, 2014
Job descriptions and application forms are available at elections.oakville.ca under Elections Employment or from the Clerk’s department on the second floor of Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road.
Completed application forms must be submitted online or returned to the Clerk's department by July 31, 2014. All applicants will be required to complete a brief written test and attend an interview, which will be administered Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 9 and 11 a.m. Please call 905-845-6601, ext. 3010 or TTY: 905-338-4200 to make an appointment.
Please note that spouses and children of candidates, or anyone working on a candidate’s campaign will not be eligible to submit an application.
