Budget 2020 Town Boards
The fate of Glen Abbey Golf Course and the redevelopment of Downtown Oakville were all discussed and then proposals written up by the members of the Town Boards and Committees. It is extremely important who is appointed to each.
On November 18th Oakville's Town Councillors will be appointed to various Town boards and committees.

Please note that no appointments were made to the Community Services and Administrative Services Committees at the November 18, 2019 Council meeting. Council voted Monday night to disband these committees effective January 1, 2020

Community Spirit Awards Selection Committee
The Selection Committee shall be comprised of the Mayor, who shall serve as Chair, and two Members of Council, and a minimum of four other members to be appointed by Council upon recommendations of the Administrative Services Committee.

Oakville Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) is to provide advice to Town Council on accessibility initiatives to address requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) in promoting accessibility for residents of all abilities.

Town of Oakville Water Air Rescue Force (TOWARF)
TOWARF is a Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Unit and provides marine search and rescue service with the primary goal of saving lives at risk in Western Lake Ontario.

The budget committee appointments are done at an earlier date. The members change each year however the appointment period covered is 4 years.
