UPDATE #2: Two Deceased Persons found in Joshua Creek Home

The Halton Regional Police have provided a second updated regarding the two deceased persons found in a Joshua Creek Home. The Police released the latest update on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 3:35 PM.

Following an investigation, Halton Regional Police Service Homicide detectives believe the January 17, 2018 deaths of Prem SINGH and Jan SINGH were the result of a murder-suicide.

Prem Singh and Jan Singh were the sole residents of 1414 Summerhill Crescent, in northeast Oakville.

The investigation found that Prem Singh shot his wife, Jan Singh, before sustaining a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Investigators continue to believe there is no threat to public safety and no outstanding suspects in this tragic event.

The Halton Regional Police have provided additional information regarding the two deceased persons found in a Joshua Creek Home. The information was released on January 17, 2018 at 5:18 PM.

The deceased have been identified as Prem SINGH, 69 years, and Jan SINGH, 70 years, both of whom resided at this address.

Police are able to confirm that a shooting occurred at the home and that a gun has been located inside the residence.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is ongoing.

Investigators believe there is no threat to public safety nor outstanding suspects in this tragic event.

The family requests privacy during this difficult time.

The Halton Regional Police Service received a weapons related call for service at a residence in North East Oakville (Grand Blvd & Upper Middle Road) shortly after 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.

Police attended the residence, gained entry into the home and discovered two deceased persons – one male and one female.

The scene has been secured. An investigation is ongoing.

There is no known threat to public safety related to this incident at this time.
