Upcoming Kindergarten Registration at the Halton Catholic Board

The Halton Catholic District School Board is pleased to welcome new students for the start of the 2016-2017 school year! Kindergarten Advanced Registration for 2016-2017 will take place on Tuesday, January 26 and Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Parents are encouraged to contact their home school​ directly, for more information and for the specific time slot open for registration at the school.

What do I Need to Register my Child?

  1. Proof of age ​- Year 1 (Junior Kindergarten) children are required to be 4 years of age on or before December 31, 2016.
  2. Roman or Eastern Rite Catholic baptismal certificate for the student or the parent/guardian.
  3. Updated immunization records (Immunization Card or Letter of Exemption).
  4. Proof of address.

Registration forms are available at each elementary school. Completed applications and appropriate documentation can be submitted to the home school​, beginning at the advanced registration dates on January 26 and 27, 2016. Our School Finder Tool allows parents to access information about which school is in their boundary, school locations and programs available.

Quick Facts:

Children currently registered in their Catholic school’s Year 1 (Junior Kindergarten) program are not required to register for the Year 2 (Senior Kindergarten) program. Placement in the Year 2 (Senior Kindergarten) program will be processed by the school unless otherwise notified by the parent(s)/guardian(s).

Kindergarten registrations for the new North Oakville Preserve ​Catholic Elementary School, located north of Dundas Street and west of Sixth Line, on 16 Mile Drive (scheduled to open in the Fall of 2016), will be accepted at St. Mary Catholic Elementary School​, in Oakville.
