Voting Day


Monday, October 27, 2014 is your day to vote for who you feel will best represent you. Voting stations open at 10:00 AM and voting ends at 8:00 PM.

The town of Oakville has a wonderful voting location finder. Just fill in the information, and it will provide you with several locations. Click here to be directed to the site.

Voter Qualifications


A qualified voter must be:




  • A Canadian Citizen

  • At least 18 years of age

  • A resident of the Town of Oakville or the owner or tenant of land in the Town of Oakville, or the spouse of such owner or tenant

  • Not prohibited by law from voting on Voting Day


What do I need to bring?


Identification and Voter Information Notices are all you need!


Acceptable forms of identification include:




  • Driver's Licence

  • Ontario Photo Card

  • Ontario photo health card (must have address)

  • Current Visa or Bank Statement or

  • Current Insurance Policy

If you are not on the Voters' List, or haven't received a Voter Information Notice, please check if you are on the Voters' List or contact the Clerk's Department by calling 905-815-6015 or e-mailing [email protected].


Voter Information Notices have been sent. If you haven't received a Voter Information Notice by the end of September, you can complete an Application to Amend the Voters' List form by visiting the Clerk's department or using our online Voter Registration service. Please note that photo identification and original signatures are required to submit this form.
