On Wyecroft at Dorval a SUV collided with a Motorcycle

Just before 4:00 PM, on Friday July 12, 2019 the Halton Regional Police Service responded to a report of a serious collision. The collision involved a motorcycle and a SUV at 221 Wyecroft Road which is just east of Dorval Drive.

Due to the serious nature of the injuries, the Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in and took charge of the investigation.  The investigation took approximately 4 hours. The Collision Reconstruction Unit closed Wyecroft Drive and reopened it at 8:15 PM (according to a tweet by the Halton Regional Police).

According to the Halton Regional Police, a 21 year old male from Oakville was travelling eastbound on Wyecroft Road on his motorcycle.  A 19 year old female from Mississauga was driving her family's SUV westbound on Wyecroft Road . She turned left across the path of the motorcyclist.

The motorcycle collided with the SUV. The male motorcyclist sustained injuries requiring medical treatment. An ambulance arrived and transported the motorcyclist to Hamilton General Hospital's Trauma Centre for treatment. His injuries were serious but not life threatening.  His family was notified and attended the hospital.

The SUV occupants were uninjured.
