About May Court Club of Oakville
The club is a women’s service group. It has operated continuously for 62 years, making it the oldest women’s charity in Halton.
Over 220 members provide much-needed services and funding within Oakville. Only volunteers run the charity, allowing May Court to give 100% of the net profits directly to their programs and supported registered charities.
It assists local students (our volunteers of tomorrow), so they can realize their educational dreams. The May Court of Oakville Scholarship Program is unique. The criteria for consideration of an educational award includes:
- above average financial need
- acceptance into a post-secondary program, whether that is a university, college or trade school
- a volunteer commitment to their school and/or the community that is well above the mandatory 40 hours required to graduate
The Club supports award beneficiaries through their first degree, funding permitting, - providing they continue to apply each year and meet the program requirements.
