Oakville Real Estate Bronte

Bronte Real Estate is bounded by Lake Ontario on the South, 3rd Line on the East, Rebecca St on the North, and Burloak on the West (boundary road separating Burlington and Oakville). Bronte has a rich history going back to its official founding in 1834. By 1856 Bronte Harbor had been finished after which it became a commercial shipping centre for grain and timber. However, with the arrival of the railway the towns people became heavily involved in commercial fishing. It remained a commercial fishing port until very recently.

Today, Bronte Real Estate is a rich and vibrant community with three very distinct areas:

1. The town of Bronte which encompasses the area primarily below Lakeshore Rd and slightly above from3rd Line to West Street. This area is filled with many historical homes, the primary shopping is district including the Bronte Mall, and several large Condos and townhomes, and a comparatively small number of detached homes. Most of the properties range from 26 to 60 years of age. The population in this section is has a slightly higher ratio of women to men, with the largest segment of the population is 65 plus (this varies slightly the further east or west from the Lakeshore and Bronte Road). The residents of this area are considered Golden Seniors, who are debt free and live vibrant lives. They are strong supporters of cultural events and the majority have a highschool diploma as well as University, College or Post-Graduate degrees or certificate.

2. The Second Bronte Real Estate area is from Lakeshore North to Rebecca, East to 3rd Line and West toShell Park. This area was primarily built up during the 1950, 60's, and 70's, making the majority of residences between 26 to 60 years of age. The vast majority of homes are single detached, though there are some townhomes, and low rise apartments. This area if filled with mature trees, and parks. Very family oriented, it is also home to the local public/middle school. Roughly 60% of people are married, 20% are children between 0-19 years of age, 30% are 30-55, and 17% are 65 and over. Almost the entire population has a highschool diploma, 35% have a university degree, 10% graduated from College, and 4% have a post graduate degree.

3. The Third and final Bronte Real Estate area is from Shell Park to Burloak. This is the newest area of Bronte and encompasses a brand new development with large contemporary homes with modern parks, and a wonderfully forested area with trails. 80% are single detached and 20% are townhomes. There is a new low rise luxury apartment scheduled to be built on the Lake. This area is also very family focused with 30% of the population between the age of 0 to 19, 50% between 30 to 54, and 11% 65 plus. 69% of the residents are married. 77% are employed primarily in sales and management.  46% of the residents have a university degree, 37% have a highschool diploma, 8% a college certificate, and 5.5% a post-graduate degree.

Transit for Bronte Real Estate

Bronte is serviced by Oakville Transit and GO Transit located at the Bronte Station. There are several access routes to the QEW, and it is just a short ride up Bronte Road for a connection to the 407.

Schools for Bronte Real Estate

Eastview Public School: Kindergarden to grade 8, all areas from 7 to 8. Areas 1 & 2 for Kindergarden to 8.

Gladys Speers: Kindergarden to 6 for area 3 with a minor exception.

Pinegrove: Kindergarden to 8 for French Immersion with a minor exception.

T.A.Blakelock School: Grade 9 to 12  including French Immersion. There is a small section of area 3 that is currently going to Robert Bateman.

This area is also serviced by the Halton Catholic District School Board, and it is home to the private Oakville Christian School. Oakville also has a large number of private schools.

For the yougest members of bronte there are a number of great daycares.
