The Oakville Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Faye Lyons has joined the Oakville Chamber of Commerce as the new Vice President, Government Relations and Advocacy. She brings a wealth of knowledge and advocacy expertise to speak on behalf of the local business community as represented by the Chamber’s membership.

A resident of Oakville and government relations and communications professional, Faye advocated for the almost 2 million CAA members on transportation policy at the City of Toronto as well as at the Province of Ontario. Before working at CAA, she served as a political assistant to the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities and the Solicitor General and Minister of Correctional Services.

“We are thrilled that Faye has joined the Chamber team. I have no doubt that her high level of skills and expertise in government relations will prove very valuable to our members.” says Chamber Chair Kerry Colborne.

Faye replaces Steve Bright who is leaving the chamber to build his public affairs and communications business, drawing on more than 20 years of experience in a range of sectors. He continues to be an active chamber member.

"I had the pleasure of meeting and working with a lot of great people during almost four years at the chamber," said Steve. "They highlight the many strengths of Oakville and the reasons why I live, work and volunteer in this vibrant community."
