The Town of Oakville will be holding a Public Information Meeting regarding the Glen Abbey Golf Course Redevelopment on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. There will be two time time slots: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

The Town of Oakville has received a complete application by ClubLink Corporation ULC and ClubLink Holdings Ltd. for a proposed official plan amendment; zoning by-law amendment; and proposed plan of subdivision, you are invited to attend and provide input at this public information meeting hosted by the Planning Services Department.

The purpose of this Public Information Meeting (PIM) is to provide the general public with the opportunity to hear details about the proposed Glen Abbey Golf Course redevelopment, and to provide Town staff with initial feedback. This meeting will be in drop-in format.

The proposed Glen Abbey Golf Course Redevelopment by ClubLink consists of an official plan amendment, a zoning bylaw amendment, and a plan of subdivision providing for a Mixed Use residential and commercial Development consisting of a total of 3,222 residential units (141 single detached dwellings, 299 townhouse units and 2,782 apartment units) and 11,270 square metres of commercial including retail and office.

A formal Public Meeting will be held in front of Oakville Town Council in the near future.

At this time there are no other applications, under the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended, pertaining to the subject land. The Town passed Interim Control By-law No. 2016-024, as amended by By-law No. 2016-115 with respect to the subject lands.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to Council c/o the Town Clerk in the Clerk’s Department 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, Ontario L6H 0H3 or [email protected] before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted; before the zoning by-law amendment is passed or before the approval authority gives or refuses to give approval to the draft plan of subdivision:

a) the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Town of Oakville Council to the Ontario Municipal Board; and

b) the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Municipal Board unless, in the opinion of the board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
