At the December 1, 2015 Regular Meeting of the Halton Catholic District School Board, Jane Michael, Burlington Trustee for Wards 3 & 6, and Arlene Iantomasi, Burlington Trustee for Wards 1 & 2, were re-elected to serve as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Board for the next one-year term.
"Over the next year we will be tasked with making many decisions. May our discussions be rich, may we always consider what is best for our students and may we be respectful of final decisions," stated Jane Michael, the incumbent Chair of the Board.
Jane Micheal has her Juris Doctor of Law degree and resided in Burlington for the past 22 years. She and her husband have raised 4 children.
"I look forward to working together with each one of my fellow trustees and our senior staff in a spirit of shared vision to ensure our board continues as a leader in the province," said Arlene Iantomasi, the incumbent Vice-Chair of the Board.
According to the Board's procedural by-laws, elections to the office of Chair of the Board and Vice-Chair of the Board take place at the first meeting in December each year.
