Join The May Court Club of Oakville Friday April 15th at the Oakville Conference Centre for a fundraiser dinner, silent and live auction, music and dancing! “Let’s Get This Party Started”. A 60th Anniversary and years of future endeavours to celebrate.
The May Court Club of Oakville is celebrating its 60th birthday, is having a celebration party and is excited to get started. The celebration includes a gourmet marche, live auction, draw, music and dancing. You don't need to get dressed up to enjoy this wonderful event.
The May Court Club is rich in history, made up entirely of volunteer women. The club gives service to and raises funds for the Oakville and Halton communities. This has always been the reason for its existence and was the first service club founded in Canada. May Court was created in 1898 on the eve of May Day, in Ottawa, by Lady Isabel Aberdeen, the wife of Canada’s then Governor General; a lady who also founded The Victorian Order of Nurses. May Court’s goal is to be a “role model for volunteerism and community service”.

Focused on society’s most vulnerable – women and children, The May Court Club of Oakville has devoted countless hours and significant dollars in Oakville and throughout the Halton, Peel Regions. Since 2000 May Court Club of Oakville has made significant contributions to institutions such as Home Suite Hope, Wellspring and the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, (in the amount of $100,000 for each). In the last sixteen years the Club has raised 2,034,245 for Scholarships and local Community Agencies. The energy and the dedication of these women both warms the heart and most certainly goes a long way to
Helping those in need.
