On Wednesday, October 4, The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board and its Members collected $1,075-worth of non-perishable food, benefitting one of the 2017 President’s Charities, Halton Food for Thought.

“Our Members are so generous to keep our food drive going strong,” said 2017 President, Dennis Horton. “I’m so proud of the support the charities have received this year.”

“We cannot thank Allan Spisak from A.C.I.S.S. enough for donating his time and his truck to help pick up donations from brokerage offices.”

“This is hugely appreciated and so very supportive of our Student Nutrition programs,” said Nancy Rumple in an email. “Thank you so much for arranging this!”

Halton Food For Thought reaches 39,000 students across the Halton region during the school year. Not only does the organization want to ensure Halton students have access to healthy food, they want students to have the best chance for academic success. Studies show that by feeding students, not only do they have the energy to learn, they acquire healthier eating habits that will hopefully last their lifetime.

Thanks to all the brokerages that supported the Halton Food for Thought food drive.
