CBC News Chief Correspondent Peter Mansbridge will be the keynote speaker for the 60th Annual Oakville Chamber of Commerce Chair's Dinner on September 16, 2014 at the Oakville Conference Centre.

"We were delighted when Mr. Mansbridge accepted our invitation to visit Oakville," said Chamber Chair Orla Johnston. "Mr. Mansbridge is one of Canada's most respected and recognizable journalists and we feel privileged to present this unique opportunity to hear him live to Oakville's residents and the business community."

The Oakville Chamber invites the public to submit questions to ask the twelve-time Gemini Award recipient and officer of the Order of Canada. Selected submissions will be answered by Mr. Mansbridge at the Chair's Dinner. Questions can be tweeted to @OakvilleChamber using hashtag #AskPeterMansbridge or by emailing [email protected] with the subject line 'Ask Peter Mansbridge.'

"Given Mr. Mansbridge's popularity and wealth of knowledge on national issues, we wanted to engage the larger community by offering the opportunity to ask him questions," said Chamber President John Sawyer. "We especially want to thank our partners at RBC for their help in presenting this very special anniversary dinner."

The purpose of the Annual Chair's Dinner is to recognize the outstanding contribution and leadership provided by outgoing Chamber Chair Orla Johnston, and to welcome the Chamber's new Chair. This formal evening includes a networking reception, dinner, and silent auction.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased through the website www.oakvillechamber.com or by emailing [email protected]. Ticket prices are $175; and $125 for Chamber members. Tables of eight are available. All prices are subject to HST.
