According to figures released today by The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB), the number of all property sales increased by 3.2 per cent in April compared to the same period in 2013. Monthly property sales totalled 874 compared to 847 in April 2013.
“Residential sale prices in Milton and Oakville climbed substantially in April 2014,” said Jack McCrudden, President of OMDREB. “It was a busy month for our Members and these numbers reflect their hard work and the ultra-competitive marketplace.”
The dollar volume of all property sales processed through the OMDREB MLS® system increased in April 2014 to $514,432,312 from $438,298,597 in April 2013 – an increase of 17.4 per cent.
Oakville’s median sale price for the month of April was $722,000, an increase of 17.6 per cent compared to April 2013. The median sale price in Milton was $468,000, an increase of 5.6 per cent compared to the same time last year.
