With the addition of this office, Royal LePage Real Estate Services LTD, brokerage now has 4 offices in Oakville and a total of 17 offices in the greater Toronto area, reinforcing our position as the #1 Brokerage in the GTA.
This merger of Brookfield (the owner of Royal LePage) and Prudential Real Estate and Services took place on December 6, 2011. Prudential licences were allowed to operate under the Prudential name until the end of their agreements. At that point, Prudential offices had to re-flag or had the option of becoming affiliated with Royal LePage in Canada. Allan Bain and Michael Stothers decided to join the corporate brokerage: Royal LePage Real Estate Service LTD.

The addition of the 60 realtors from the Prudential office on Dorval, will translate to a total of 300 realtors for Oakville operating under Royal LePage Real Estate Services LTD. Brokerage. Re/Max Aboutowne Realty Corporation, Royal LePage's main Oakville competitor has approximately 200 realtors making Royal LePage Real Estate Services Oakville's number one brokerage as it relates to feet on the ground. Earlier this year, Royal LePage Real Estate Service's lakeshore office was the broker of choice for Annel Francis when she ended her team's affiliation with Coldwell Banker.
Allan Bain is currently in his 29th year in the industry having become a REALTOR® in 1984 and received his broker’s license in 1987. He started up his own real estate office in 1989 with 6 sales representatives and converted to Prudential Affiliate a number of years later. He grew his business to a sales force and staff of over 200 with multiple locations including Niagara, Kingston & Ottawa.
Michael Stothers became a REALTOR® in 2004, and received his broker’s license in 2006. He joined Allan Bain at Prudential Town Centre Realty in 2004 as a partner with direct management responsibility of the Oakville Office. Prior to real estate Michael worked as an educator, professional recruiter and small business owner.
