"Real Police Don't Eat Donuts!" says HRPS Chief Stephen Tanner

This past summer, I had the opportunity to get Halton's most senior police officer HRPS Chief Stephen Tanner in my car. To be more specific, my teeny-tiny Smartcar.

Now, you need to understand that both Steve Tanner (Halton's Chief of Police) and I are ... well, not small men. We're both over 6 feet tall and north of 200Lbs. So the moment we climbed into my little car, the joking started.

And I was pleasantly surprised by this because honestly, I had been a little nervous about this guest. Sure, his reputation of being a warm and friendly guy was known to me, but this was the Chief of Police - the head honcho.

Frankly, the idea of having that much "law" in my car watching my driving - while filming an episode of my Smartcar Coffee Confidential show ... made me nervous.

Well, it was all for nought. Steve was open, friendly and frank about much more than I expected. And in this candid episode, you'll get to see a side of Steve, or I should say, Chief Tanner, that most don't.

And yes, I ribbed him about cops and donuts, his response was priceless! Enjoy the show.
