West Oakville is bounded by the following: Speers Road to the North, Dorval Drive to the East, Rebecca Street to the South, and Bronte Creek to the West. Like much of Oakville located below the QEW, West Oakville homes are located on large lots with mature trees. Most of the homes built were between the 1940s and 1960s making the majority of homes between 26 to 60 years of age. The vast majority of homes are single and detached. There is a small number of town-homes that make up West Oakville. Over 85% of homes are occupied by the owner. There are a fair number of renovations going on in the area.
There are parks, playgrounds,as well as easy access to Oakville Transit and local shopping. The area was primarily developed as a residential neighborhood for FORD of Canada's employees. GO Transit is available to the area via Oakville or Bronte stations, and the main highway is the QEW.

West Oakville's average annual household income is just over $75.000.00. Just under 30% hold white collar positions, just over 50% grey collar, and slightly below 20% blue collar.
