The Oakville Children’s Festival 2018 rivals the incredible event of 2017. You and your children (1 to 12) will be dazzled, entertained, and well feed. You also might learn a thing or two.

Last year the festival moved from Coronation Park to the QE Park Community and Cultural Centre, where it will be held again this year. This is a great place, and the entire facility will be open.

With over 30 different booths there will be no end of activities to keep your whole family occupied. Entertainment on stage starts at 10:30 AM.

Festival 2018 Performers:

  1. Franklin and Friends Playdate
  2. Fred Penner
  3. Illustrator Paul Covello: Everyday ABC
  4. Hoop Dancer Ryan Runearth
  5. Kaeja d’Dance Company: Flock Landing
  6. Enviro Drum

Don’t worry, you will not go hungry – there will be 9 different food trucks, plus the Kinsmen Club of Oakville’s BBQ lunch

  1. There will be an EMS station, take note of where it is.
  2. Should you be separated from your friends make a plan: a place and time where you’ll be able to meet up again.
  3. Should you be separated from your children, make sure that they know who can help them such as police officer.
  4. Bring along a water bottle to keep hydrated. There will be several filling stations

Here are a few options for you to get to Oakville Children’s Festival 2018:

  1. walk, dance, jog, or run
  2. skateboard or Rollerblade
  3. cycle (there will be a bike coral but bring a lock)
  4. FREE shuttle bus from Bronte GO station

If you need to drive, parking at the Bronte GO Station is your best bet. There is tons of free parking. Free shuttles will be running from Bronte GO every 5 minutes starting at 9:30 AM, and should you have forgotten something – you’ll be able to head back when you like.

The last shuttle leaves QE Park at 4:30 PM. All activities will be over at 4:00 PM.

The shuttle busses are fully accessible and you can bring along that stroller.

There is no parking available on site, with the exception of accessible parking. Parking regulations around the festival will be strictly enforced. Signs will be up on Saturday morning –  so why risk getting a parking ticket, or worse get stuck in traffic.

The Oakville Children’s Festival is a fun time for the family, and except for eating the entire event is FREE! Have a great time.
