Town services and facility closures

Town Hall

Town Hall will be closed as of noon on December 24, 2013, re-opening on January 2, 2014.

Community centres, pools and arenas

Community centres, pools and arenas will be closed from noon on December 24 to 26, December 31, 2013 after 4 p.m. and January 1, 2014.

Youth Centres

Youth Centres will be closed from December 24 to 26, 29 to 31, 2013 and January 1, 2014. Oakville Youth Centre and Bronte Youth Centre will be open December 27 to 28, 2013 and January 2-4, 2014 from 2-10 p.m. QEP Youth Centre will be closed December 24 to 26, 31, 2013, and January 1, 2014, and open on December 23, 3-8p.m., December 27, 3-9p.m., December 28 - 2-6p.m., December 29, 1-4p.m., December 30, 3-8p.m., January 2- 3-8p.m., January 3- 3-9p.m.

Seniors centres

Seniors Centres will be closed at noon on December 24 and will re-open on January 2, 2014 with the following exceptions:

  • The Oakville Seniors' Centre will be open for drop-in activities on December 30 from 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
  • The Sir John Colborne Centre will be open for drop-in activities on December 31 from 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.

Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts

The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts will be closed at noon on December 24 to 27, 31, 2013, and January 1, 2014. The Oakville Centre will be open on December 28 to 30, 2013. For information visit the Oakville Centre website.

Oakville Museum

The Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate will be closed December 24 to 26 and re-open December 27 to 31. The museum will be closed January 1, 2014 and will return to regular business hours on January 2, 2014.

Central Operations Depot

Central Operations Depot will be closed at noon on December 24 to 26, and January 1, 2014.

Oakville Public Library

All library branches will be closed from December 24 to 26, 31, 2013 and January 1, 2014.

Fire Administration

Fire Administration, Training and Fire Prevention Divisions will be closed at noon on December 24, 2013 and will re-open on January 2, 2014.
