On Thursday, June 26th animal lovers in Oakville and beyond will be partying for the homeless and abused animals of our community at the 13th Annual Cause for Paws Martini Party & Auction to benefit the Oakville & Milton Humane Society. The event, which began as a house party at the home of one of the founders, Beverlie Rockliffe, now takes place on the picturesque grounds of Appleby College, the event’s community partner.
Tickets to the adult only event are just $40 and include food offerings from some of Oakville’s best restaurants, including: Just an Olde Fashioned Butchery, The King’s Arms, Piazza Bistro and La Dolce Vita Gelato with late evening pizza by Topper’s Pizza in Oakville. Martini’s, Beer and a selection of wines are offered for sale using the official Cause for Paws currency – dog bones, which are purchased at the event. The colour of the dog bones is a closely guarded secret each year.
There are literally hundreds and hundreds of homeless dogs that are in “forever” homes today because of the Cause for Paws event.
Entertainment at Cause for Paws is world class! Award Winning Latin Guitarist and Oakville animal lover Johannes Linstead will be performing with his trio, with hot Latin music perfect for dancing under the stars! Violin performance artist Grenville Pinto is a Cause for Paws favourite and will be performing before the Live Auction.
The silent and live auctions at Cause for Paws are legendary with something for everyone at the silent auction tables and extraordinary experiences and items in the Live Auction. Celebrity Chef David Adjey (Restaurant Makeover, Iron Chef America) will attend the event and personally auction off his incredible “Gourmet Dinner for Ten in Your Home” package at the Live Auction at Cause for Paws.
