As Oakville gears up for the 39th annual Terry Fox Run, all residents are invited to honour Terry Fox’s wish and continue his Marathon of Hope to raise money for cancer research. This year organizers are hoping to raise a record $200,000 to support the groundbreaking cancer research supported by the Terry Fox Run.

Oakville residents are invited to several events leading up September 15 with all proceeds supporting the Oakville Terry Fox Run.

...but I might not make it, and if I don't make it, then the Marathon of Hope better continue. It has to go on without me. - Terry Fox 1980

The Town’s official Terry Fox flag raising takes place at Town Hall on August 26 at 8:30am. Join the Mayor, Town Councillors and Run organizers to raise the flag to honour Terry.

Sammy’s Famous Chip Wagon on Lakeshore Road in Bronte will host its 7th annual Terry Fox Fish and Chip lunch with all proceeds going towards the Oakville Run on August 30 from 11:30 am – 2:00pm. This annual tradition has raised thousands for the Terry Fox Foundation over the years.

Be sure to bring a toonie – or a twenty! – on your GO train commute September 11 and 12!

Volunteers will be at Oakville GO September 11 from 6:00am – 8:00am and at Bronte GO on September 12 from 6:00am – 8:00am collecting change and bills for Terry.
