On Saturday, August 17th, momstown Oakville celebrated its sixth birthday with a free community event in Coronation Park that welcomed more than 500 hundred Oakville families.
There was dancing, signing, face painting, games, prizes – definitely something for everyone. The crowd was treated to some great performances from Suzie Sunshine, No Limits Martial Arts, Annex Dance Academy and there was even a penalty kick contest for kids with Little Kickers.
One lucky mom went home with a new Britax B-Agile stroller while several other families were lucky enough to win a Fisher Price Little People toy to add to their play room at home. Kids loved visiting with Daniel Tiger (from Kids’ CBC) and of course, the bouncy castle was a highlight as well.
The event wrapped with the crowd signing happy birthday to momstown and then enjoying delicious cupcakes from Cupid’s Cupcakes. Momstown celebrates their birthday across the country annually with a free community event in each of their 20 chapters.
