November 17 thru 19, 2017 3 Christmas Trees | OakvilleNews.Org

This season Downtown Oakville welcomes visitors to place their holiday wish on our ‘Wishing Trees’ in Towne Square. Visitors can pick up a free wishing tree ornament card from any downtown business, write their wish on the ornament and hang it on our wishing trees to help their wish come true! For every wish that is hung, theDowntown Oakville BIA will donate $1.00 to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada (to a maximum of $1500).Making your wish is absolutely free!

Help make your wish, and that of child in need come true! We are pleased to share that our wishing trees are already quite full – we know that we will meet and surpass our goal! Of the hundreds already hung, over 150 are from students of Classical Martial Arts Centre, a business proudly located in Downtown Oakville, with the kids all excited to know they were playing a role in helping other kids - #kidshelpingkids.

We encourage everyone, young and old, to come downtown to pick up their ornament from the businesses and share their wish with the world! Whether it’s a wish for peace, health, or maybe just a special gift from Santa, all wishes are welcome on the Downtown Wishing Trees!

The wishing trees will be on display throughout the holidays. Ribbons and markers will be counted on Christmas Eve. Ribbon and markers are available at Towne Square for all to use.

About the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada

The Children's Wish Foundation is a uniquely Canadian charity that helps Canadian children, families and communities by granting the favourite wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. With every wish that we grant, we create moments of joy that ease the pain of a child, give respite to the child's family, and connect healthcare professionals and communities in that burning wish of hope.
