Heat Advisory Issued by Environment Canada - First one this summer.
Hot and humid air will be making it's way through Oakville today with a high of 32 expected, but it will feel like plus 42. With the extreme heat, it is suggested that the young, old and infirm be cautious while outside. Great places to cool off are malls, community centres and libraries. Oakville has several splash pads, as well as outdoor pools.
The wind is coming out of the South-West at 25 km/h with gusts up to 41 km/h. The chance of rain with thunderstorms increases this afternoon from 40 percent to 60 percent. This evening will continue to be humid, but overnight cooler air is coming in from the North, and will bring down the temperature to plus 16.
