The tradition continues! Presented by Genworth Canada, we invite you to join the Town of Oakville, Oakville Public Library, the YMCA of Oakville and community partners as we celebrate Family Day 2018!

The Town of Oakville’s Make Your Move Family Day 2018 will once again offer a full slate of free activities and special events for all ages and abilities on Monday, February 19, 2018.

Free swims and skates sponsored by Boston Pizza at Dundas & Neyagawa

The Town of Oakville’s recreational swim admission standards apply to all free swims. Wristband policy will be in effect. Wristbands for admission to all combo and leisure swims will be available starting at 8:30 a.m. at program locations.

Helmets are strongly recommended. Hockey sticks, pucks and equipment are only permitted (and may be mandatory) during specific times. Skate and helmet rentals are available at Joshua’s Creek Arenas, Maple Grove Arena (cash payments only), River Oaks Community Centre and Sixteen Mile Sports Complex. Skate and helmet rentals are first-come, first-serve. Quantities and sizes are limited.

Toyland Puppets with a Touch of Magic

Come meet Rudy the Clown puppet and his friends, but be sure to be on the lookout for a gorilla that has escaped from the zoo! Appropriate for ages 3 to 10, Toyland Puppets is a high energy show that involves the audience throughout.

Tickets are free and can be picked up at the entrance of the Black Box Theatre (QE Park Community & Cultural Centre) one hour prior to the start of each performance. Maximum of five tickets per person. Spaces are limited. Pick up your tickets early to avoid disappointment. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Oakville Blades vs. Georgetown Raiders

Cheer on the Oakville Blades as they play the Georgetown Raiders! Admission to the game is FREE, however wristbands are required and will be available starting at 9 a.m. in the Upper Concourse outside Rink 1. Maximum of five wristbands per person. First-come, first-served. General admission seating. The Oakville Blades play at the 16 Mile Sports Complex

Stay for lunch!

A variety of food options will be available at select locations. Proceeds from Domino’s pizza sales go to the Town of Oakville Recreation Connection Fund, which helps families in need participate in recreation programs.

Food selection is subject to change. Some vendors accept cash only.

Take the bus!
