Halton Jazz Singers and the Holy Trinity High School music department are excited to announce that they have embarked on a new collaboration between this adult professional jazz vocal group and the high school band students.
On Thursday May 21st, the Halton Jazz Singers will guest appear with the Grade 11 and 12 Students Instrumental Repertoire class as part of their music night. Many weeks of preparation and rehearsal have gone into this collaborative concert. The first of its kind in our community, this unique outreach program provides both students and singers the opportunity to experience the rich harmonies, instrumental & vocal, and the style of music from the big band era.

Mr. Kevin Harkin, Music Teacher at Holy Trinity is excited about the collaborative project, "The Holy Trinity Music Department is excited to perform with the Halton Jazz Singers at our Spring Music Night on Thursday, May 21st. It is with great pleasure that we have taken this wonderful opportunity to collaborate with the HJS. The students have been working hard and have really enjoyed the time spent rehearsing and have gained valuable experience as musicians. I want to thank the Director of the Halton Jazz Singers, Darcea Hiltz, and of course the members, for sharing their musical gifts with us. We are really looking forward to the show!"
The 20+ student musicians participating in the concert are from Mr. Harkin's grade 11 and 12 instrumental repertoire class and include brass, woodwinds, percussion & rhythm section. Mr. Harkin will be performing on bass guitar.
