Several positions on the Executive are opening up this fall. If you have any interest in joining this dynamic group, please make your interest known to a member of the board of directors! There are several areas that participation is welcome from helping out in planning community events to keeping the books in order.
Cathy Duddeck the town councillor representing West Kerr Village will be making a presentation, along with Blake Poland current president of the association. Refreshments will be provided.
The new WKVRA Charter will be presented! The charter provides clarity about the mission statement, the roles of the board of directors, how to formally fill vacancies of the board between elections, what constitutes a quorum, voting requirements and the executive’s power, renumeration and the liabilities. The majority of the Charter was approved by the board in April 2012, but the mission statement is a new addition.
Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable items that will be donated the local Oakville foodbank.
