Linda Leatherdale, Chair of the Bronte Village BIA is pleased to announce that due to overwhelming positive response to its 2017 At Home in Bronte, Perspectives & Reflections public art initiative, NEW chairs are coming back for a second year in Bronte Village!
At Home in Bronte will offer artists, community groups and members of the corporate community the opportunity to paint a chair. Applicants are encouraged to use their imagination and creativity to develop a creative chair design and application.
Guiding themes for the design of the chairs include the following:
- Your own expression of love for the natural beauty of Bronte
- Your vision of the joys of spring and summer
- What it means to live life to the full
- A personal message that inspires you
Sponsored by the Bronte BIA with funding in part from the Ontario Government 150 fund, there is no cost to participants for the purchase of the chair.
The plan is to install the NEW 2018 chair designs in the park during the May long weekend through to Thanksgiving. The chairs will remain on display and for public use throughout the summer. Residents and visitors are encouraged to visit Bronte, have a seat in one of the many chairs on display and make themselves at home.

We invite you all to make yourself At Home in Bronte again this summer”.
