Every year KerrFest features major musical performances (with past bands such as Jim Cuddy, The Spoons, Steven Page, Cowboy Junkies), Kid Zone area, Vintage Car Show, The Beaver Has Landed Skateboard Competition & the Trackless Train Shuttle. This year, Kerr Village BIA is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual KerrFest and the 2016 scheduled musical headliners and performers.
KerrFests’ 2016 line-up features a distinctive balance of performances from Canadian Rock icons, to award winning blues artists, and a comedic blend of hilarious entertainment with popular music, this year’s line-up promises to be an unforgettable one. Also contributing to the festival is a Kids Zone, the Annual Beaver has landed skateboard competition, the Vintage Car Show, as well as many other shopping and dining opportunities.
Headlining our festival on Friday night September 9 is one of the most popular and successful Canadian rock bands of the 70’s and 80’s. With over 15 studio albums across a 35 year career, KerrFest is proud to host Canadian Rock Hall of Famers; April Wine. Warming up the crowd, dressed in his trademark red checkered shirt, yellow sou’wester and rubber boots, is the witty comedian all the way from the East coast; Jimmy Flynn. Returning to Kerrfest and starting our show is the London, Ontario native and award winning blues artist; Bill Durst.
On Saturday evening there will be performances from the Canadian inspired rock band with an award nomination for best rock album; Big Wreck, and with 2 time Juno winner and 7 time Maple Blues Winner as well as a blues guitarist, singer and song writer; Jack De Keyzer - opening the evenings festivities.
