Last chance for tickets to the Community Spirit Awards

Only one week left to purchase tickets to the 13th Annual Community Spirit Awards — an evening to honour Oakville’s dedicated volunteers hosted by Chris Mei of The Weather Network.

Chris's love for ever-changing weather conditions brought him to The Weather Network family back in 2006 after fourteen years in radio, television, and entertainment. Chris has been in his fair share of weather events due to travel, from sandstorms in Saudi Arabia to hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico. Chris graduated from Mohawk College's Communications Program.

Since being at The Weather Network he has: quickly achieved his CMOS accreditation , assisted in launching our Sirius Satellite Radio feed, filed active weather reports and news reports as well as assisted in producing specialty programming segments. Catch Chris on weekday mornings on The Weather Network.
