Hailing from Prince Edward Island, The Rhythm Boys' exhilarating live show instantly enamors audiences

The powerful music of Mahler has captivated orchestras and audiences for decades. The Oakville Symphony presents the splendid Symphony No. 1 for the first time in our 48 year history. Outstanding Canadian pianist Sheng Cai will also be featured on this program of superb music-making. Guest Artist is pianist Cheng Cai.

Ruthie Foster with special guest Harrison “Sweettaste” Kennedy is presented by the Dan Cooper Concert Series, and will take place on Thursday, April 21 at 8 PM.
Those who have followed Ruthie Foster’s eclectic musical history know that she can burn down any
stage with her combustible blend of soul, blues, rock, folk and gospel. Ruthie's astonishing voice has
taken her on an amazing ride. She came from humble church choir beginnings in rural Texas, followed by
a tour of duty with the U.S. Navy Band, and ended up in Austin, Texas.
Hailed by B.B. King as Canada's premier blues performer, Harrison Kennedy is a vocal chameleon, at ease
performing funk, soul, R&B, folk, gospel and blues.

Patricia O’Callaghan Sings Leonard Cohen presented by the Dan Cooper Concert Series takes place on Friday, April 29 at 8 PM.
Patricia O’Callaghan is something of a wandering minstrel. Her fifteen-year career has taken her across
genres, continents, and a range of disciplines and passions.
Her recording career spans six solo CDs and many interesting guest collaborations. One of Patricia’s
most unique talents is the ability to blend a variety of languages and musical genres seamlessly together
in her concerts, and completely embody whatever style she is singing at any given moment.
Like most great love affairs, O'Callaghan can pinpoint the moment her passion for Cohen began. "I was a
young classical singer and I had just had my heart broken. Then I heard John Cale's recording of

Charlotte’s Web presented by Theatreworks USA takes place on Saturday, April 30 at 1 PM an 3:30 PM and is recommended for children ages 4 to 10.
Theatreworks' production of Charlotte's Web is based on E.B. White's loving story of the friendship
between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. Wilbur has a problem: how to
avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer
Zuckerman -- she will create a "miracle." Spinning the words "Some Pig" in her web, Charlotte weaves a
solution which not only makes Wilbur a prize pig, but ensures his place on the farm forever. This
treasured tale, featuring mad-cap and endearing farm animals, explores bravery, selfless love, and the
true meaning of friendship.
