Making Sense of Preschoolers

The growth and development of preschool children is nothing short of astounding. There are so many changes in the short time between 2 and 6 years, and many parents at some time or another will wonder what on earth is going on during this time.

OPCC is offering this 6-week series to help parents and caregivers answer some of the questions about their preschool children. Making Sense of Preschoolers: Through the work of Dr. Gordon Neufeld, parents/caregivers will have the opportunity to learn about how preschool children (2-6 years) tick. We will explore in depth how preschoolers think and participants will develop a better understanding of why children do what they do. Along the way we will discover tools that will help guide children as they grow through the preschool years while ensuring a healthy parent/child relationship is the foundation.

Dr. Gordon Neufeld is a Vancouver based developmental psychologist who has devoted his 40 year career to developing and sharing an understanding of children and the parent/child relationship. His work inspires us to think more deeply about our children and how best to guide them to becoming the people they are meant to be.

The classes go from Wednesday January 29 to March 5, 2014  from 1:00-3:00 pm. They will be held at Oakville Parent-Child Centre's main location at 461 North Service Rd. West, Unit 17, Oakville. The cost is $60.00 without childcare (that’s just $10 per 2 hour class) or $90.00 with childcare (just an additional $5 per week for 2 hours of childcare for children newborn to 5 years). You can register online at  www.op-cc.ca Program code W075, or if you have any questions please feel free to call OPCC at 905 849-6366 for more information.
