The Oakville Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with TVCOGECO, The Oakville Beaver, The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board, and Glen Abbey United Church, will be hosting an All Candidates Meeting for the Oakville and Halton Electoral Districts on Wednesday May 28th. This event is open to the public, Chamber Members and Members of our partnering organizations.

"The All Candidates Meeting is an opportunity for members of the Oakville community to engage with the candidates, the possible future decision makers for our community and businesses," said Orla Johnston, Chair of Oakville Chamber of Commerce. "We are pleased to be able to come together with our partners to provide Oakville voters with the opportunity to hear comments directly from the candidates on issues that will affect our community."

The All Candidates Meeting will take place at Glen Abbey United Church, which has the capacity to seat an audience of up to 500. "Glen Abbey United Church welcomes the opportunity to participate in this important community event. Given the short time to Election Day, the issues facing the province, and the positions put forward by the parties, it will certainly be an interesting and informative evening," said Daniel Puklicz, Chair of the Glen Abbey United Church Council.

The Chamber will solicit questions from its members, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and the general public. In addition, we are inviting members of the public to submit questions for the candidates via e-mail at [email protected] (write 'All Candidates Question' in subject line); or fax at (905)845-6475.

The Chamber would like to thank the candidates for agreeing to take part in this event. Without their participation this event could not take place. "We were delighted at the positive and enthusiastic responses we received from the candidates when they were asked to take part in this meeting," commented Jack McCrudden, President of the Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board. "We hope everyone takes advantage of this All Candidates Meeting to have their questions answered, so that they can make an informed vote."
