Oakville Jazz Festival 2013 - Transit, Parking & Detours

The Oakville Jazz Festival will take place from Friday, August 9 to Saturday, August 10, 2013, in downtown Oakville on Lakeshore Road East between Allan & Navy Streets.

Take Oakville Transit route 2, 14 or 17 into downtown Oakville. For schedule information, visit Schedules and Maps or use the Google online trip planner to plan a trip.

Road Closures and Transit Detours

A number of road closures in the downtown Oakville area will begin approx. 4:30 p.m. on Friday and will affect the following bus routes.

Route 14 – Lakeshore West

Detour via Reynolds, Randall, George and Church to Church and Dunn, then continue on Church to Trafalgar, Randall and Rebecca.

Route 2 – Lakeshore (both directions)

Detour via Lakeshore, Navy, Robinson, Allan and Lakeshore.

Route 14 – Oakville GO and Route 17 are not affected

Buses will return to regular route on Sunday, August 11.

Parking

Parking is available in downtown Oakville off either Church Street which is north of Lakeshore and Robinson Street which is south. Parking along Lakeshore Road and on streets running directly off Lakeshore North or South in downtown will not be available. There is street parking available on side streets.

Parking is also available at the Oakville GO Train Station, and the number 14 bus will be operating every 25 minutes. Walking from the GO Station will take about 15 minutes.

Free Bike Corral

A free bike corral will be available on Thomas Street between Lakeshore & Robinson. They have requested that you provide a lock for your bike.  If you can, take your bike and enjoy a hassle free experience at the Oakville Jazz Festival.
