Kelly WOLFENDALE was born November 13, 1962 and on September 23, 2016 passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 53 after a short and courageous battle with cancer.

Kelly was a long time resident of Bronte, a place she not only cherished but one she supported and actively promoted all of her life. She was also a volunteer at Oakville's Kerr St. Mission and the Bronte Historical society, the latter as part of her devotion and keen interest in local history. She was a virtual encyclopedia of knowledge for Bronte, and amazed all with her ability to recall vividly what life was like growing up in the 1960s and 1970s there.

"We will all miss Kelly! I hope she knew just how much she meant to so many people. She had such a huge heart!! Bronte lost one of their best when Kelly passed away. RIP Kelly" - a sentiment shared by many members of the If You Grew Up in Oakville Facebook Group.

Kelly was an avid photographer and lover of nature of all kinds, and took daily long walks all over Bronte and the Harbour taking many pictures of the peaceful and tranquil scenes she found there. These she shared in Oakville and Bronte Facebook groups dedicated to keeping memories of the town alive.

Kelly was also a long time member of the Bronte Legion, as was her late father Tom.

Kelly made a lot of friends over the years, all of whom knew her for her unwavering loyalty and kindness. She was a fixture in Bronte, and could often be seen taking the time to stop and visit some of the less fortunate and homeless on her walks, all of whom she called friends and never looked down on. As a free spirit and a proud and defiant "hippy" to the end, Kelly was a unique soul and will be greatly missed by all of us.
