It is with sadness that we announce the passing of William (Jack) Morgan on Wednesday, March 12th in his 84th year at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital surrounded by his devoted daughters.

He immigrated with his first wife (Colette) and three young daughters from Wales, U.K in 1968 and began a long career at George Weston Ltd. His passion for writing continued in the form of a weekly column (Daily Journal Record) and pantomimes for the Oakville Centre for Performing Arts. He will be well-remembered for his many performances on the Oakville community stage and for his significant contributions as actor, playwright, columnist, cable writer and producer. After retirement he began volunteering at Oakville’s Brookdale Public School as a “Grandad story book reader”, where some of his best performances took place.

He is survived by cherished second wife Pam, daughters Melanie (Dennis), Philippa and Traci and beloved granddaughters, Aidan, Eryl and Hilary. His colourful personality will be missed by cousins and friends both overseas and here in Canada.

Memorial Service will be held at St. Jude’s Anglican Church (160 Williams Street, Oakville) on Tuesday, March 18th at 2pm, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers please give to a charity of your choice.
