Geared towards Oakville seniors who may not have the opportunity to see the holiday lights first-hand, the Town of Oakville and dozens of generous volunteers will host the 44th annual Seniors Tour of Lights Party on Tuesday, December 10 starting at 6:45 p.m. Eligible Oakville seniors can pick up their complimentary tour ticket at any Town of Oakville senior centre prior to the event.

Volunteer off-duty Oakville Transit drivers and limousine drivers from Ward Funeral Home will escort 175 seniors to take in thousands of beautiful lights on display throughout town. To ensure a bright and joyful tour, Oakville residents are encouraged to turn on their holiday lights a little earlier to enhance the show. As one of the tour stops, seniors will be greeted at Town Hall for refreshments and entertainment.

Oakville seniors are reminded that tickets are required to participate in the event. Tickets are available at Sir John Colborne Seniors Centre, Oakville Seniors’ Centre, Iroquois Ridge Older Adults Centre and Queen Elizabeth Park Older Adult Centre. For details about Oakville’s annual Tour of Lights Party, please call the Oakville Seniors Centre at 905-815-5966 or the Sir John Colborne Seniors Centre at 905-815-5960.
