This just in! Treehouse TV royalty and five-time Juno Award nominees Splash’N Boots will headline the 2019 Oakville Children’s Festival on Saturday, August 17th. Families can expect to dance and sing along to hits like Tilly the Tadpole, Who Put the Beat in my Shoes and Antelopes Love Cantaloupes.

“The Oakville Children’s Festival is a top-tier event that welcomes everyone to celebrate arts and culture in our community,” said Mayor Rob Burton. “Town Council and I look forward to bringing children and families together to enjoy a fun-filled day of high quality cultural activities and entertainment.”

Juno Award-winning singer songwriter Norman Foote will also hit the stage with his unique blend of music that has be entertaining crowds for almost 30 years. Along with Splash'N Boots, other popular festival performances include:

  1. Twisted Ones Balloon Show
  2. Lumberjack Show
  3. Zoosemobile
  4. Stunt ventriloquist Tim Holland
  5. The Ben Show
  6. CanSpin Awards Hooper of the Year Isabella Hoops

Families can also enjoy Oakville Public Library story times and the Friends of the Library Book Sale.

Visitors will enjoy fun hands-on activities and interactive shows including:

  1. City Parent Scavenger Hunt
  2. Art and building workshops
  3. Fire Safety Zone
  4. Seedling plantings
  5. Sports zone
  6. Summer camp experience
  7. Face painting
  8. Free indoor swimming
  9. Free samples and more

Food offerings include the Kinsmen Club of Oakville BBQ lunch, plus many of the GTA’s most popular food trucks. Alternatively, attendees are encouraged to bring a litterless lunch and a reusable bottle for use at the festival water stations.

Attendees are encouraged to take the free Oakville Transit shuttle from the Bronte GO Station or cycle to take advantage of the free bike parking onsite. Vehicle parking is not available onsite and on-street parking restrictions will be enforced throughout the neighbourhood.
