The Oakville Centre presents… a new website!

The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts unveiled a redesigned website today, featuring a dramatic new look and improved user options to coincide with the start of ticket sales for the Fall/Winter 2014 season.

“The town is always looking at better ways to connect with Oakville residents,” said Mayor Rob Burton. “Whether it’s engaging with town staff or Council, buying concert tickets, or accessing timely information, our goal is to continue to make the online experience easy and open to everyone.”

The website relaunch is part of the Town of Oakville’s commitment to improved online services and public engagement. Key enhancements include: improved accessibility; more intuitive navigation categories; a translation tool; more opportunities to connect with the Oakville Centre through email, e-newsletter and social media; videos featuring upcoming performers; and an improved online Box Office experience.

“We are very pleased to present the new Oakville Centre website,” said Sarah Douglas-Murray, senior manager of cultural services for the Town of Oakville. “Live performance is about connecting with an audience and our redesigned website allows us to bring some of that same excitement online for a great visitor experience.”

In the 2013 Citizen Survey, 64 per cent of respondents identified the website as their preferred way to access information about the town. The redesign of the Oakville Centre website follows the relaunch of both the Town of Oakville and Oakville Transit websites in 2012. All new websites are able to support future needs and technology advances.
