Today in Oakville: December 21, 2012

Weather:

It will be a toss-up between your lined raincoat to your winter coat – but you’ll likely want to be wearing rubber soled shoes today as the occasional rain changes to periods of wet snow this morning with up to an accumulation of 2 cm. Though I’m not sure how snow accumulates in plus 2 from plus 3.  As we get into early evening the chances of snow fall will diminish as the temperature drops to minus 2, but it will feel chiller since the winds will be 40km/h with gusts up to 60 coming out of the north-west.

Today, there will be 8:57 hours of daylight, making it the darkest day of the year. The sun rose at 7:49 AM and sets at 4:49 PM.
