Today in Oakville: January 31, 2013

Weather

Winter is back - though not with a vengeance. The west wind will be howling through at 45 km/h for most of the day dropping the temperature by 9 degrees. The high today is minus 1 steadily dropping thru the day to minus 8. There is the expectation of some snow flurries - but with the wind coming from the west, we are not likely going to see much. Out comes the winter coat, scarf, gloves and hat. The roads are dry, and the salt trucks have gone by the main roads. The sun rose at 7:35 AM and will set at 5:28 PM. Enjoy your day; remember spring is not that far away.

Quote of the Day

"The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails." - William Arthur Ward
