Members of the T.A. Blakelock High School wind ensemble have been diligently rehearsing the past several months, preparing to perform at the legendary Carnegie Hall on February 11th.

They will be participating in the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory Invitational.

Last May at the Musicfest Canada Nationals in Toronto, the ensemble received the Gold Standard Award for their performance.

The students' performance caught the attention of concert organizers, who invited the band to New York to play with other ensembles.

Practicing for the Carnegie Hall concert has been a very important part of the journey for students. They have been rehearsing for several months.

See how this came together and how excited everyone from the Oakville school is to play in New York City.
