Oakville Private Schools COVID-19
Like the public schools - the private schools have also decided to close their schools due to the Coronavirus. The closures aim to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Here is the Oakville Private Schools COVID-19 status. Please note that none of the private schools are reporting any cases.
The following schools have indicated that they will be closed and expect to re-open on Monday April 6, 2020 baring any unforeseen circumstances or directions from the province.
Appleby announced to it's students, staff and alumni on March 20,2020, that the college will remain closed for the foreseeable future and as of Monday, March 30, 2020, Appleby launches a remote learning programme.
Appleby College is in a unique because it is a Board School, meaning a number of students reside on the campus. A number of those boarders are international students. Some of the international students may not have returned home for March Break. Should an international student not have a local guardian the school will be working with them. For local and international students who are overseas, they are required to self-quarantine for 14 days once they return to Canada before they will be allowed to return to Appleby. The school will be working to address all of these issues. More Information is available online at COVID-19 Update: Appleby College.
