On June 20. 2019, a local golf club filled with the Board of Directors, staff members, and auditors from Thrive Counselling. It is a prominent organization providing counselling and relief. Last year they opened new Oakville walk-in clinics.
Issues that Thrive Counselling deals with includes:

Thrive Counselling celebrated the successful completion of their financial year at the Annual General Meeting.
"The organization was able to produce its expenditures during the year which contributed to an excess of revenue over expenditures," said Atif Akhtar, Partner at Glenn Graydon Wright LLP presenting the audited financial statements for the year 2018 -2019 after all board members introduced themselves.
"The company's financial statements present fairly in all material respects for the financial position of the organization as at March 31, 2019."
The financial statements and reports were succeeded by Thrive's Executive Director, Chondrena Vieira-Martin.
"Our new strategic goals emphasize growth in services, revenue, our demonstration of equality and impact and importance of ensuring sound agency structure to support our work," said Vieira-Martin. "We're really excited to launch this new plan to see what's ahead of us moving forward."
Following the Executive Director's comments, Carol Oosting, Director of Programs was invited to present service awards to all employees. This year's longest service award went to a Counsellor at Thrice, Linda Berry. Linda completed 25 years with the agency.
"I thank you all and I really cherish this," said Linda after taking a nostalgic deep dive with Carol highlighting her commitment to the agency's clients with alacrity and infectious jovial bemusement.
In the closing moments of the eventful meeting, Al Albano, the Board Chair thanked Tanya Hall, a member of the Board of Directors, for her service as this would be her last meeting as a Board member.
