There is currently no mandate, from the Ontario Government or Halton Region, requiring residents to install additional filtration equipment on their water systems.
“Residents are not required to install additional filtration systems in their homes,” said Jim Harnum, Halton Region’s Public Works Commissioner. “Our highly qualified and licensed staff perform regular testing to make sure we consistently meet or exceed provincial water quality standards.”
