On April 7, 2016 at approximately 9:30pm the accused was travelling in his vehicle on Kerr Street in the Town of Oakville and was stopped by the Provincial Repeat Offenders Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad and arrested on a parole revocation warrant.

At the time of the arrest, the accused was in possession of a duffel bag containing illegal drugs and related paraphernalia.

George Smith, 22 years of Oakville has been charged with:

  1. Possession for the purpose, Schedule I – Cocaine
  2. Possession for the purpose, Schedule II – Cannabis Marihuana
  3. Possession for the purpose, Schedule II – Cannabis Resin
  4. Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon (Brass Knuckles)

Smith has been held for bail.

During the arrest, 2,664 cash in Canadian currency, 23.8 grams of cocaine, 345 grams of cannabis resin and 2,686 grams of cannabis marihuana was seized. Cell phones, scales , plastic packaging and a set of brass knuckles was also taken from the accused.

The total street value of the drugs seized during the arrest is approximately $32,000.00.
